Welcome to the new WNABC web site and to the new WNABC.
At the beginning of this year, the two existing chambers of commerce dealing exclusively with business between Wales and North America, one based in Wales – the Wales North American Business Council -  and one based in the US – the Wales North American Chamber of Commerce - came together in an alliance and this new web site is the first concrete result.
 
So far, at least, this has been a merger without tears -- pooling our resources was an idea whose time had come, and we expect to become bigger and better as a result, and more useful to our members on both sides of the Atlantic.
 
Though the truth sometimes gets lost in the headlines, North America is still the largest market outside Europe for any Welsh company and it is still one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment. So we expect to be working closely with our friends at International Business Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s own agency promoting Welsh trade abroad and foreign investment at home, and with our other natural partners, the domestic chambers of commerce in Wales.

Of course, we will remain a private-sector networking organisation for individuals and companies involved in business between Wales and North America. In fact, we will now  be the only such body in the field but we think it's a natural monopoly. Consequently, entry-level membership is now being offered without charge to anyone who wants to join. This will get you our regular email newsletters plus our occasional email bulletins and surveys. More importantly, It will also get you access to the members-only section of our web site, where you can meet virtually and informally with other members throughout North America and the UK ,  to seek advice, make contacts, float proposals, and confirm background details. 

Of course, for the more established businesses,  we offer additional paid categories of membership, with extra privileges including increased access to customize service, and with significant sponsorship credits.
