WNABC in Wales

In Wales, the WNABC was relaunched after a period of inactivity in 2007 as a company limited by guarantee with a board of eight people and a remit to encourage trade between the two countries. For a list of board members and mini – biographies, please click here.

North America is still the largest market outside Europe for any Welsh company and it is still one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment. Wales has a long and distinguished history of industrial innovation and partnership with this great nation.

For those of you who need reminding, the population of Wales numbers just over 2.9 million, the majority concentrated along the southern coastal belt and in the north east. Cardiff, the capital, is an international city of 315,000 inhabitants, containing a strong business base and world-renowned sporting and cultural venues.

The board of the WNABC in Wales aims to respond to members' needs, add value by opening doors to contacts, opportunities and professional advisers, facilitate information and assist in lobbying governments.

The WNABC as an entity provides concrete and relevant information on doing business in Wales and North America and acts as a business network for business people and their contacts. We provide regular information on key events in Wales and North America to help members to keep up-to-date with relevant issues.

For Welsh companies, we can provide contact with Welsh business people living in North America who can offer advice on doing business in America.

If you or your company are trading with North America, and you are based here in Wales, why not sign up as a member and help to swell our numbers? Whilst we cannot guarantee success in these markets, we can make some useful introductions both here in Wales and North America, and who knows, perhaps make a real difference to your business success.

We look forward to being of service to you!
